This session explores how academic discoveries can effectively translate into practical animal health solutions. It begins with brief presentations from STAR-IDAZ IRC, the EUP Animal Health & Welfare, and AnimalhealthEurope, each shedding light on defining research gaps, leveraging public-private partnerships, and maximizing the impact of public funding. Attendees will learn how collaboration between academia and industry can stimulate innovation and bring real benefits to vets and farmers. Key challenges such as the funding of different development stages and the dynamics of stakeholder roles in ongoing projects will also be discussed. The second half of the workshop features a discussion with speakers and active audience engagement to exchange insights and practical tips.
