The Emerging Technologies session highlights the earliest stages of scientific innovation in animal health and welfare. This platform is dedicated to entrepreneurial researchers who are translating novel scientific discoveries into potential solutions, typically at Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) 1–3. Presenters will pitch cutting-edge concepts grounded in strong scientific foundations, showcasing their mode of action, initial proof-of-concept, and early insights into intellectual property, cost of goods, regulatory pathways, and manufacturing considerations. Applications may span diagnostics, vaccines, therapeutics, medical devices, and digital health tools. This session fosters critical dialogue between early-stage innovators and key stakeholders, helping researchers align their ideas with market and regulatory expectations. It is an ideal environment for validation, networking, and sparking partnerships that can accelerate translation from lab to livestock or companion animal care.
