In 2022, Lionel joined Quantoom Biosciences, an affiliate of Univercells Group, as Product Manager responsible for defining, developing, and managing innovative DNA and RNA products. In his role, Lionel oversees the entire product lifecycle, from conceptualization to market delivery, remaining attuned to customers’ demands and ensuring that Quantoom’s solutions not only meet their needs but also align with the company's vision of “Biologics for all.”

Before joining Quantoom Biosciences, Lionel achieved significant milestones during his academic career. He notably co-authored a European patent for coronavirus infections and COVID-19 severity diagnosis, resulting from pivotal work he conducted on the RNA demethylase FTO's role in SARS-CoV-2 replication. Additionally, Lionel's groundbreaking research contributed to the understanding of epitranscriptomic RNA modifications and their effects on gene expression.

With over 10 years of expertise in RNA Biology, Lionel’s education includes a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (Beijing, China) obtained in 2020, further enriched by a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at the Université Libre de Bruxelles.
