Benedict did his BSc at the University College Dublin before heading to the University of Connecticut to work on
My PhD at the Dept. of Animal Science. After this he moved to the Karolinska Institute where he has worked on innate and adaptive immune responses in different models including obesity, cancer and infection.
He co-founded Prodessa Pharmaceuticals in the fall of 2025 to develop weight management drugs for pets.
